Nawfal Bendefa started his career in hospitality 11 years ago with operations roles at Walt Disney World and
Marriott International in Orlando, Florida. He then joined Marriott’s Capital Markets Group in 2001, working on
more than US$1 billion in vacation ownership securitizations. He joined Marriott’s London regional headquarters
in 2003, and held several roles in Valuation, Project Finance and Asset Management for Marriott’s various
lodging products throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia. In 2007, Nawfal accepted his current role leading
Marriott International’s development efforts for all its brands in Africa.
Nawfal is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, and a CFA charter holder.
