Mr Andrew Hubbard

Co-founder of Queensgate Holdings, Andrew Hubbard will be CEO of Queensgate Hotels and Leisure. 

After matriculating in 1978 at Wynberg Boys High School in Cape Town, Andrew left for Germany where he studied computer technology at Volkswagen. In 1987 he started Quick Bit GmbH, a software consultancy that is still running successfully today. In 1988, he founded financial services company FTH-Finanz GmbH together with Holger Friedrichsen.

After four years of specialising in high net-worth individual financial planning and management, Andrew and Holger, along with other partners, started a real estate company in 1992, focusing on packaging of property investments for this elite market.

 The company turned over a total of one billion ZAR by the end of 2002. They were the first to offer investments into the South African property market (i.e. Radisson Hotel) to German investors in 1996/97, which eventually resulted in the formation of Queensgate Holdings. Andrew is the founding shareholder and MD of Queensgate Holdings, which was started in 1997, with the intention of creating a company specialing in the Leisure business in South Africa
