Mr Forster commenced his career in the hospitality industry in 1991 and after holding a number of key positions within that sector, moved into consulting where he was appointed Director of HVS Global Hospitality Services in London, United Kingdom.

Mr Forster has advised clients in the hospitality sector globally with particular focus on the Middle East and Africa in terms of development viability, investment advice, mergers & acquisitions, loan re-financings and hotel management contract negotiations and selection. His financial skills in this sector incorporate the development and implementation of modeling software for hotel, spa, golf, conference, residential real estate, investment yields and other business models that facilitate decision making.

He joined IFA Hotels & Resorts as VP Asset Management, Africa & Indian Ocean in 2007 and is now based in South Africa. In his new position Bernard is in charge of asset managing operational hotels and development projects in South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Zanzibar.
