Mr Paddy Brearley

Paddy Brearley
Paddy has been the managing director of Legacy Hotels & Resorts International since September 2002. He joined the company in 1994 as the general manager of the Windhoek Country Club Resort where he spent eight years before moving into the post of managing director.
He is well positioned to lead the company with 38 years in the hospitality industry.
Paddy was brought up in Wiltshire, England where he attended school and later completed his diploma in hotel management at the Torquay Hotel School.
He moved to South Africa in 1972 where he took up the position of assistant general manager at the Malibu Hotel in Durban and stayed with Southern Sun for 21 years rising through the ranks to regional director of resorts.
Paddy, who is a keen golfer, enjoys the outdoors and also loves to spend time with his family – wife, Kim and two sons, Gregory and Jason. He takes pleasure in regularly cooking for the family – something which he says he not only enjoys, but also finds very therapeutic – a way to unwind and de-stress from his hectic schedule. |
