Since the inaugural conference in 2007, the main objectives of hosting HICA have not changed. HICA serves as an important platform to:
- Showcase the African continent as a viable investment destination for hoteliers ;
- Network with African and global industry leaders and allow them to impart their experience and lessons learnt;
- Encourage dialogue and discussions between Government leaders and the private sector role-players, in order to enhance Government’s understanding of the sector and ensure that this knowledge informs economic policy;
- Create an opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs to learn from experienced role-players and find partners’
- To source funding as well as promote current and new projects within the African tourism and hospitality sector.
